The Ridgeley Trimmer Company in Clerkenwell Road in London EC1, also made a wallpaper trimmer of a similar design. I’ve got one in a tool drawer and have only ever used it a couple of times but not for wallpaper. I remember wallpaper came ready scored and you could cut it with scissors or bang it on the edge of a table and get it to sheer of in one go. Then you had a paper streamer you could throw.when you used to buy wallpaper it wasnt printed right to the edge so had to run the trimmer down it cutting about half inch of it either side up to the pattern
