Some nib head cut the mounting stays off this unobtainium aluminium fairing brace on a 750 Turbo, made up some new ones and Sif welded on, polished out nice and about 20p in O2/Mapp

The fork lift passed its test,so it should,it’s vgc,with the exception of still awaiting top coat.

So I did a little more research and now it looks like it may be a stump anvil, possibly not original to the stand (they don't really mate up). I'll have to take a closer look, I suspect it could be much older than I first thought.It's a bit like a tinsmith's anvil.
