Please ignore the large metal feet, more of them later.
When we cleared my Grandpa's house there was a note attached to his safe "Spare key inside safe".
My in laws had a safe with a key pad, & an emergency key. They put Ni-cad batteries in to power the key pad & put the key in the safe I got a call "can't open the safe" "use the key" says I " what key" was the reply. The Ni-cad's had gone flat like they do. Luckily on about the third try the batteries woke up just enough to operate it. Another week or two & I would have been drilling the lock out. When we cleared my Grandpa's house there was a note attached to his safe "Spare key inside safe".
That your a really really slow typist?I had one of those safes, battery flat, key lost, googled for help and then got it open in less time than it took to type this......just saying.
I know, nothing will stop someone who is determined, but I hope whoever breaks in is not carrying a battery drill. Where I used to work at one time, the keys to the Chubb padlocks got mislaid, I set about the rivets with a hand drill, took about 15 minutes & I'd got the lock apart & open, this was supposed to be a high security lock. Given time & tools you can get into anywhere.I had one of those safes, battery flat, key lost, googled for help and then got it open in less time than it took to type this......just saying.
