Although I did once earn a sullen teenagers awe and admiration after her mother dragged both her and her defunct sewing machine to me in desperate hope of repair (machine, not daughter…..well….maybe both).

Machine set up on coffee table, timing quickly sorted, and teen instructed on how to sew/thread/not stitch fingers to material. I then finished with a quick demonstration of all the different stitches available, while operating the pedal with my knee, while kneeling next to said coffee table. Definitely a “we are not worthy” moment, apparently.

Seriously, give me a shout if you need a bit advice.

Acquired this instead. I have a lot of items that need repair or modifying and I cant be arsed doing it with a needle and thread, so it seems I need to learn this.. cant be that difficult!?!

Are those the marzipan & cherry & kirsch cakes covered in dark choc? I had one before xmas & they are delicious, been resisting the urge to buy them.

One for Christmas and one for my birthday - the year is saved.

2hp 20 liter silent compressor, as I do some work up in my garage which I'm running out of room In I needed small and quiet, needed it for testing tanks blowing down lathe, cleaning parts, plus cooling down some small parts that have got too hot while welding,
this does all that, they are expensive you could get a much larger one for the same money, I doubt it would run air tools etc, used it on the first day I got it to test a 350 liter deisel tank, so far it's great you could have a conversation with someone while it's running, main part is I can't here it from the house,
I do my best to not annoy my neighbours

I quiet fancy a silent compressor.... but I want one with a constant duty cycle and all the ones I've seen have been short

would be nice to tie it into everything else and have it keep the tanks topped off to cover small intermittent use and what's blown out of the auto drain valves

If I ever get my workshop extension built that is what I plan a larger one possibly in the other room and tie in

That is the way I tests tanks, no danger at all. Below was a 800+ litre tank tested the same way.

How much pressure do you test that with @Hood? I test my fuel tank with less than 10psi. Any more and it starts to expand remarkably quickly.

Mind you it's only 2mm sheet not that heavy stuff.

Not a lot, probably about the 10-20 PSI, would take quite a bit to buckle it however as it is made from 6mm if I recall.

I follow a lad who makes quite a lot of tanks and radiators, he tests everything and is up there with the best,
most of his fuel tanks he tests at around 7 psi, his radiators he tests at 20 psi his fuel tanks are mainly made from 3mm
