No secret, I have the same mill as @zzr1200 although mine is badged as a Pinnacle, will be making the same 8" riser block for the mill as per Johns recent thread.
It's going to be an interesting job for me, first time working with a lump of steel this big and with the degree of accuracy required to ensure the mill head is where it needs to be in relation to the table.
I am really excited about tackling this however first job is to get a lifting gantry in place not only to get this in the lathe but also lift the head assembly off the mill to fit the finished job. I do have an engine crane that would do the job but not enough space to get in by the mill or lathe

Oh gosh I hav'nt seen one of those trench rammers for years ... I spent hours using one of them in my late teens ...you had to get in the rhythm with 'em and fire the spark at the right time ...there were some big strong suffolk farmers boys on my gang who just did'nt get it ..

I like those engines that fire once every few revs on tickover.
Known as Hit & Miss engines...
I had one of them on a cylinder mower, flipping thing had an alarming kick back when trying to start it and would surge,usually whne trying to mow near an edge or tree.. I've tried timing it and that seems to be a bit of a black art. Holy carp, I recall spending hours watching the road menders using them. Come to think of it, they all disappeared, probably because of better H&S regs.
Relatedly, the jackhammer and whitefinger - nobody ever mentioned white willy or white belly - I wonder what else those tools ruined.

110v, so had to buy a transformer (£20!!! - But I needed/wanted one any way).
£10 I paid - spares or repairs with the plug chopped off.
Plug cost me 50p.
It needs a small lever that operates the catch which stops it dropping.
That'll be 3.99 from the b&d shop tomorrow.
Otherwise, works perfectly.
