The Pifco Lamp is in good nick, it works. Even the top lamp flashes.

It doesn't look like it ahs suffered battery leaks in its life.
But it is covered in a sticky substance. but break cleaner soon removed it.

The plane, well it has a good blade. That's all I have checked.

Plus some 1/4" UNC bolts to help repair a friends Oak chair set. I hoped they were going to be M6. No, she had to be difficult and have Canadian chairs.

That is so true.
But finding some near me is getting harder.

But those came from a "rummage/ second hand shop" The owner thought they were some cheep Chinese's rubbish. as they didn't fit anything he had.

Only as parts for machines they service.
Anything else they order in.

I like to see what I am buying.
But I was happy enough to take his rubbish from the shop.

I'm going to have a look for the thread recommending where/which ones to go for and get a couple ordered. Thought I had saved the site as a favourite but of course I didn't
It's pushing me to have a tidy up at least.

I've used tuffsaws.co.uk for bandsaw blades and been happy with the quality and price so far. I use 24tpi for thin wall stainless pipe and either 14tpi or 18tpi for general stuff, mild steel box,angle etc

60mm round steel bar 7' long



this one is for my clarke hydraulic bender 1 1/2" plate 6" x 24"+

im interested in building a milling machine as i dont like the price of the cheap and cheerful machines that are available on the market

ive also got 2 lengths of steel iron beam as well but they was free

ive done a little homework on the subject and grabbed what i needed from the net to build it

I picked this up today, needs a clean, possibly a coat of paint.. what it does need is the rubber cable chucking and a new belt.. It would be nice to have a swith on it too..


On the way back I called in a mates to scrounge a cuppa and to mither about the big ends on the new compressor and he dragged this out of the shed for me.

A quick tinker and it runs, nice and quiet too, should keep me going until I sort the big one.

I've been having a chuffing epic with these two... Big pump had shot big ends, which was a little dissapointing but anothe pump with shot mains has been found so hopefully they will lash together the little one has fought like a demon to remain a static exhibit.. Today I finally strung enough bit of old plumbing together to join everything up, just about to set it running and found the manifold had split. Stripped all that off and erm, well fitted might be overstating it, but applied some more creative plumbing and for the first time in three weeks I have air in the workshop...

Im not proud of that, but it works..
