£60 for that carabiner. Few shops are stocking them due to there being two safety recalls last year. I like the idea and will try it soon today.
Granite plate. 1 meter diagonalNot sure what I am looking at ? Is that a sheet of Neoprene ?
I dont think it matters how many clamps you have you never really have the right one for the job!I'm keeping an eye out for a well-priced clamp with the flat pieces on the end at the NEC next weekend, I think they'd be more useful than my current clamps when holding stuff together to butt weld it. At the moment I try to clamp a piece of steel either side of the workpiece, but that's a pain to put together usually. I've an idea you can buy just the flat bits to go on normal clamps, but they're probably dearer than a new clamp.
ISC, made in Wales. Is that made by Wichard?

I may have cooked my micorstick, upgrade could be on the cards in future. thats a nice optionGot a handle for the micortig set. It annoys me very much when they don't have a handle, or just that carry strap. £30 delivered feels like good value to me for a nicely engineered OE handle.

Nah Im not too fond of french kit and try to avoid Petzl etc..
Had a look on that Wichard site, looks like none of it is ppe rated? Atleast cant see anything for ppe.
I had a Petzl Corax for sport climbing, horrible thing, probably less comfortable than tying a harness out of rope. To be fair their Sequioa tree harness is ok.Not as ppe I don't think but used as tool clips etc.
Love my Petzl harness.
Petzl is some of the best ppe gear out there, the French can't do much but they can do sweet climbing gearNah Im not too fond of french kit and try to avoid Petzl etc..

Brilliant Clive many thanks for your research . I looked at Portuguese trees but couldn't find it , the cork was removed from the log leaving a slightly gnarly bark , I removed the gnarly bit to get the walnut effect cambium layer .Cork oak maybe, it being native to Portugal I think?
