I was not wrong! Only light use and not abused, today was first proper use of it, admittedly splitting some big lumps of poplar and leylandii ( not the lump in picture!)Also got a splitting maul. Didnt have a close look in the shop but now I see the handle might have the grain going the wrong way? !? Likely to snap I think.
