How do you get onto Facebook marketplace? It was on the app on the Mrs phone recently but now gone, not had it on mine.

Not sure. Just had an icon top centre. You can set it to show whats for sale on fb within a certain distance. Stuff moves quick as usually local.

Bought this AA Emergency Breakdown kit for £8. It's a graduation pressie for my niece who's just bought her 1st car & starting work as a physio in 2 weeks.

I've added the wheel wrench & I'm going to make a small set of jump leads.

A draper expert bits set for £5. I already have one of these sets but missing a few bits. Used this set to complete the old set & this is what I have left.

Now I have been looking for one of these for several years and as its the first one I have seen at a price I could afford I bought it a Record 112 for £20!
Its missing the jaws and part of the quick release so any one have any spare quick release parts?
Oh how do I get the handle off so I can straighten it?

I've never been able to get the handles apart using non-destructive means. I've re-bent handles, just use steel plate bent over the jaws of another vice, then cold bend it back to shape. Jaws can be bought on various websites. Show us more photos of which qr bits are missing?

Got this petrol strimmer/brush cutter in B & Q, in their 'Clearance' section. Box had been opened but brand new and all parts and accessories were present and correct, with a 12 month warranty and 45-day Return policy £36.00 - seemed like a no-brainer especially as my present one has been refusing to come out to play [but it may be fixable.... ]

Assembled, fresh fuel mix and it started first pull - happy bunny, me

Acquired this today for a corner in the workshop an "Eagle Surface Grinder" (circa 1958/1960's approx), 15 x 6 inch table movement appears to work nicely just needs some new machine bellows to cover the ways.

I can't feel any play/wear by hand and it runs smoothly, as yet haven't put a dial gauge on it yet.

Just have to move it into position in the garage first and level it.

got these at a steam fair - sykes pickavent hydraulic nut splitter + 2x snap on drill bits for £21

thought it was a good price - although does anyone know whats going on inside the bit where the bolt screws in , big one feels a little bit tight and i dont want to force it , anything i can do other than a drip of oil?

But todays find.
More and White bearing scraper, caked in crud, blade rust and the metal feral all but falling off.

50p, the fender thought it was a tool for removing stones from a horses hooves. Oh well.



Handle was rubbed down with Meths and a wire wool, it is now soaking up bee's wax.
The feral was tapped tighter and glued.

The blade came up a treat with a polish with wire wool, sadly the date stamp is not readable.

This guy was found on the floor, it looked sad. it has a new home.



Got my self another digger.

Been looking for a saw like this for a long time

I've no idea of the manufacturer and there aren't any badges/stickers besides the plate on the motor, but I calculate it will run at ~125ft/min, ~260ft/min or ~435ft/min depending on pulley used.



Did a quick test cut and it chewed quietly (but not in a straight line) through a lump of 6mm plate. I think it wants a new blade and guide blocks to fix that.

Tyres are slightly cracked but will probably last for a long time yet, machine has barely ever been used and mostly for wood based on the dust inside the wheel housing and included selection of blades. Motor is mounted in circular rubber mounts which are badly perished and I'll need to find replacements for.

I definitely need to replace the switch too; this one bounces to on (which is up) with the slightest provocation.

I got a drill attachment scroll saw, still haven't worked out how it goes yet - your bandsaw reminded me of it, impulse purchase a few days back for $10. Initial test and it rattled like hell, tried to run away!

I have an old Atco already and I'm part way through sticking a 5hp honda engine on it, but cant get the pulley off the old Villiers (yet..) when this came up. Clutch plates are shot and it has no grass box, but I thought there most be a way to make a good one out of the two.. It would seem not..
