I'm after a Stanley/record no.7 or no.8 hand plane, but they usually sell for about the price of a small planer machine - or a good make electric hand planer
I'm also after a Stanley no.1 (about the price of a decent bridgeport mill

Bought a box of contents at an auction, found this buried at the bottom.
It's a genuine Swiss army knife with a locking main blade & a nifty set of slip joint pliers. The tip of the blade is broken off but easy enough job to reshape a new tip on it.
Also bought this, a very heavy 9" cast iron twin taper lock pulley for £2!
Could a mod please delete my old post no 5087?

It also has a variable dc output which can be activated rather than the saw motor - presumably to power a hot wire cutter?
£10 from local charity shop
"you got any of the other bits that go with it?"
"no. Give us a fiver then"
Needs hot wire clamps, and one of the blade clamps is also missing.

I would have thought a lamp.
EDIT: Just noticed the switch appears to power either the saw or the two terminals, not at the same time, that would be a pretty useless light.

I was feeling a bit left out so picked this up tonight. Shame the c punch doesn't fit the press. Might sell it on. Might shelve it for a future project.
Picked up a bit of ply and mdf to line the new shed..
I have to go back as theres loads of plastic storage bins, some dexion and lord knows what else there. Also there is a couple of fly presses, a big table saw, a pillar drill and a spinning lathe there that they want to sell, where do I post some pics to get a valuation?

Went to the auction on wednesday but only got it out of the van today
I got distracted and bid on the wrong thing
I wanted the lot before this
I hope its a sought after one because it cost me a little over £30
I shall be offering it to forum members at cost before i have to put it on evilbay
spent the full day there and didn't get a single thing i went for it all went for too much money (yes i know I'm a tight git)

Not much of a haul this week, that work thing got in the way.
But I think I did well.
For the total coast of £0:00.
20 fire extinguishers, yes I know 14 are on show. But all the CO2' are in date. The oldest is 3 years old. The foams and waters just need a DTR. If they fail, no great loss.
They will be turned into fire pits, storm kettles' or containers to old small scrap metal before I weigh it in.
One of 4 20l Jerry cans. Why not show all 4?
One jerry is like another.
The one shown is the worse, but all surface rust.
All 4 are full with diesel, the fuel is 48 hours old, so fresh.
All from a company who does children playgrounds. The fuel donated to me for helping them out of a issue what may of cost a lot of money and/or people jobs.
But I think I did well.
