Not so much today as in last Sunday, but ...
I went into 2 local Aldi stores looking for one of those inspection cameras. There was one left in the second store, which made the trip well worthwhile considering it only cost £40.
Alert all the local women's changing rooms, Jan is on the prowl
That is an Epping.TodaI had one for I aquired a barge stove for 40 quid, needs a bit of tlc but I'm well pleased! View attachment 70781
I'm assuming that the fire is on the right and it top loads, so the oven is on the left. That being so, what are the slide holes for at the top of the oven door? That is an Epping.
Great little cookers they are, i had one for years in my boat. Looks like you are missing the flue box / damper. You don't need it , just fabricate a collar. You definitely got a bargain if its in good nick, they cost £900 new !
They scream welding positioner to me mate but you'd lose the wheel. Nice little worm motor and TIG awayI'm thinking these could make some decent turntables for something if I whip that bracket off and can figure out a simple locking mechanism for them.

And there's a perfect chapter and verse reply! One thing the slider will do I suppose is to release steam, which is useful for cooking a lot of things. All the wood fired stoves I make rely on turning the stove up or down to control the oven temperature! It works surprisingly well, unless you want to cook pizza in five minutes on a sunny day...Top loading, you should have an ash pan under the grate. They are meant for coal burning, rather than wood, any small smokeless nuts are OK, definatly not house coal though, that will just furr up the flue. The slider on the oven door is to control the temperature in the oven, its marginal if it actually does or not. You need some oven shelves, the wire shelves from scrap fridges can be cut down to fit.
You will also need a scraper tool to rake out the ash from on top of the oven, and flue, the oblong plate over the oven is the access plate for cleaning in there. And a hotplate lifting tool. The rotary knob on the ash pan door is the air control.
If you are going to cook on it, then that's a whole thread on its own .

What are you using as a power supply?Where would you get a decent worm motor from. I have used a disabled scooter motor but it's 12 volt and the current is not enough to move it slowly. (At least I think it's current)
