I was going to say something about safety, but it would be kind of ironic coming from the person who cools burns with a butane lighter refill

Bought this 'Box of Contents' at an auction.
I had spotted some lathe tooling and a few other bits in it but I didn't realise how much good stuff was in it until I got it home.
The stuff on the bottom row I'll be keeping. There are 10 lathe tools, 4 mint & 1 new, all british made. A moore & wright 2-3" micrometer, a little surface rust but still working. A set of moore & wright dividers, a little surface rust but still working. A set of MOD Shelley pliers, a square brake spanner & 2 gas bottle spanners. Above the lathe tools are 3 square head bolt sockets for lathe tool posts, one marked britool.
Not sure what I'm doing with the stuff on the top row, I'll decide once I've cleaned it up. There are some whitworth & AF spanners, one of which is marked 'Colchester Lathe' and is 3/4 AF & 15/16 AF. There are a load of mixed bicycle spanners. Not sure what those 2 cranked handles are for but I'll use 1 on my big machine vice. There is a strange item which I think is for marking out & finally a nice brass saw setting tool.

Today I acquired some parts of a binocular microscope on an articulated stand for medical use. It was in the skip where dad work so he rescued it for me. Apparently the rest of it (The base and more of the lenses) will have to come home in the car but I don't know when he's driving in so I might not get it for a while. It's made by Zeiss
I don't know much about fancy optics but I have heard of Zeiss.

Picked up a nice little oil can from the boot sale for a quid.
Made by Wesco in Brum. Probably 40 years old all brass pump etc.
Cleaned it out now it's drying in the sun.
It'll replace the poxy Silverline one that doesn't and never has worked properly.

Well Zeiss are certainly expensive, look up the prices of their rifle scopes!

Not in the same league as any of your acquisitions, but I called in at Screwfix in Inverness [had to be at hospital app't anyway] to look at their mild steel chop saw blades [see other thread] but they didn't have one I liked/wanted, but I did collect this for free using a voucher which came through the door as a mailshot. It's a boot tidy for the car, opens out to a reasonable size so will come in handy for small shopping trips....
Also wanted to have a look at their range of 'F' clamps but none in stock, despite them being on offer.....
"They'll be in tomorrow", why is it that everything will be available the day after you've driven 40 miles to buy them.......

I still use the thermal mug from the last offer but the lunchbox only lasted a week.
