No. it is a core. Earth not used.
I know so, as I fitted it years ago. I used 3 core as at the time it was the length I needed at the time.

So it is almost a straight shop.

Just don't ask how I damaged the original cable on the grinder.

I imagine it was similar to how I damaged the cable on the hedge trimmer, with a loud pop and a bright flash.

Went to the garage to book in my daily for a job, outside the office were these 3 cabinets. I asked what the plan was for them, they were undecided so I offered to buy them. To be told that I could have them - for nothing. I shall return with a couple of bottles.

That brings back memories, one of my first jobs was working for a high tech composite manufacturer. I used to make every thing from X-ray couches, Formula 1 safety cells, blast protective mud guards for Rapier rocket launchers and grappling hooks for special forces, all from pre-impregnated carbon fibre.

What's prepreg like to handle/use? My composite experience only goes as far as daubing CSM with polyester, although I bought a vacuum doofer to attach to the compressor with the idea of experimenting with vac bagging, but I lost the necessary roundtuit.

I've never had anything to do with it other than whincing when paying for stuff made from it, and wishing I had the capability to make my own. I think the first project will be carbon headligh bowls for the Speed Triple. If they come out well then I might try some engine covers. I've a bit on at the mo' so its not going to happen soon, luckily neither is the carbon, so I'll post up when I get round to making something.
