Is the tank pipe threaded? Or just textured for the rubber?
grumbling at the taste of an alcoholic drink!!!! I know a guy from Dundee at a young age was challenged to have a drink of every bottle in a friends parents well stocked drinks cabinet apparently he managed it not a problem that included the bottle of brut aftershaveurgh capt morgans...only fit for cleaning drains with....even my old man will only grudgingly touch the stuff and my grandad once said of my dad "he would suck anything through a s* cloot" i.e. he ain't fussy
Also Stewarts Cream of the Barley "whisky" is also utterly repugnant stuff...then again its made from the finest of Dundee water.....BLECH paint stripper probably would be more palatable that crap, even half cut its undrinkable......think my dad tossed the rest down the sink it was so bad....no wonder it was on offer...you'd have to be blootered totally or have no taste buds to drink that stuff....
Aye, it's cheap for a reason, but some folk will drink anything they can get their hands on.
I admit to being a bit of a whisky 'snob' if that's the word to describe someone who only drinks single malts, the smokier and peatier the better - Lagavulin is my favourite and I drink so little I treat myself occasionally, but a bottle still lasts for quite a while.
was suposed to be a job for the morning but was cooking dinner and had 10 mins so looked at it the large plastic white plug just pulls off there is a rubber seal looks in good condition but widdles out (putting it miledly) so much so i cant even test it works looks like someone has tryed to seal it with mastic type substance that will have to be removed i assume it will need a new rubber unless any one knows of any thing cheap that will seal fuel ?

Looks like you could certainly use a sonic screwdriver.....

the quick & easy fix on the pickup pipe on Kawasaki strimmers is to remove the rubber part from the tank remove the fuel filter from the end and the round sintered metal filter from the large diameter that locates in the tank hole and then place in a container of boiling water for a short amount of time then dry (including blowing out the pipe) and reinstall the pickup pipes dry out / shrink / go hard over time be sure when reinstalling that the inner lip is not bent over ( view through the filler neck )
repaired quite a few kawasakis that were leaking using this method
