when i seen that first i thought it looked a dear item but after looking up its uses and price i see it can be bought new from the likes of amazon for $60 odd dollars, i was surprised that it wasnt dearer tbh seeing since there is a fair bit to one.I acquired a magnehelic gauge;

dont worry tho, im not short of items that are dear to buy new but arent a pile of good to me and wouldnt fetch big coin on the bay either.

I acquired a myford ML7 lathe in very good nick today, loads of tooling and steel stock, several vices, a 1ph belt driven compressor and loads of other stuff and that is only half of it.
The only problem is that I don't really want it as its my dad's. The parents are moving from Doncaster to live on my brothers farm near Goathland as they are getting on a bit and my pa isn't really up to much workshop tinkering now, he sold all his old motorbikes earlier this year. He is 84 this year and although his body isn't up to it, you can tell he's as frustrated as hell as mentally he is raring to go.
Once he's moved up to Goathland we will be building him a shed inside one of the barns, well insulated and maybe he will have some of his tools back. We just have to try and encourage him to find a shed hobby he can cope with. He had castings for a Simplex steam engine that he has just given to me, he's not up to doing that and the boilers are well expensive to have made so needs to be something smaller and not quite as ambitious.

My brother is the model train fan in the family, he made a business out of it. Not the big steam powered variety though. I would be only interested in the engineering part of it.

The next drawer had simplex steam train castings in it
I never get away without some tat, I got loads of it, this is some of the better tat, anybody remember the black and decker bolt on sander and jig saw attachments? I think you could get a circular saw too. There's also an Austin A series heater, probably A40 I think.
There was loads more, a pig trailer and the back of the disco full and that is for starters.

probably, even if he eventually wants all his tools back, which I very much doubt, I can't see him using it.
I wouldn't know a jacobs internal taper if it but me on the bum
any clues, code numbers, diameters etc?EDIT - just had a look, both threaded, one internal, one external

Yes, and I'm still using one of those drills when I need a 230V one. They also did a bolt-on hedge trimmer which I had and used, until the teeth started giving up the ghost.
