Use the back wheel fork of the frame as the wheel holder less the tyre & tube . Add a battery & breaking circuit 12 volt micro switch with a running guide wheel... on a slide in /out support so you can run the micro switch the wheel rim from the cycle , Set it so the lamp comes on when you break the circuit then adjust the whole rim ... you may need to draw out, write down what you do as it can get confusing unless you're an expert at it .
You can make a really posh one using two more switch arrangements one on each side of the frame & one on the centre of the rim . You'll need a reasonable digital Vernier to set the trueness to ensure that the true running axis is central and not dished off to one side or running eccentrically .

Never heard that expression before, the one I know is "smelt like a pox doctors clerk" in my defence I've never to my knowledge met or smelt oneOh, I don't know. I got told I smelt like a whores handbag, by a woman, the other day just due to deodorant, so might as well go the whole yard.

The Compass is WW2 1943 Officer Marching Compass.

I am now hunting for the leather case it should have with it.
The Sextant is a Kelvin and Hughes, of London. Dated 1917.
It is a Marine coastal navigation aide, really.
Like the compass I am looking for the box it should have.
