When we did the grey top coat we got to a point where we did get stuck in the corner but we had a ladder at the back and did indeed have a cuppa and snack sent up by the neighbour.Looks like @Olderisbetter has epoxied himself into a corner of the roof, and is having his meals sent up there on a rope ?
Some of my old planes have had names on the blade that can only be seen when you take the appart.View attachment 156085 View attachment 156086 View attachment 156087 View attachment 156088 not the best of pics.
I picked this solid brass plane up today.
No makers name or marks I see.
Any ideas on the maker??

..
Axeminster Tools used to make them..
Look in the plane, cap iron or stamped in the adjusting screw.
Dates may be found on the inside of the body
.
Also look for any government marks. A lot of brass tools and non ferrous tools were made for the following.
Working in Munitions factories, brass no sparks and then nothing goes boom. Plus that mean nothing goes away.
Also on minesweepers, the idea on early hips was to reduce as much ferrous materials on board to reduce the magnetic signature. This led to De Gaussing of the ships with power cables, a good side shot.
Plus in the early Radar ground stations there was a rush to make non magnetic tools to tune the sets, as ferrous tools would interfere with setting up..
.
@daleyd you may recall that special tools for tuning 1006 sets in the Grad..
Ohhh i can guess...and thanks for the link i was looking for them today lolone of these came in the post today and its brilliant!!!!

hazard a guess at what I've been watching recently to want to buy one??
Nah, too thick.
My dad has the same one, it had to be sent back under warranty because the chuck was squirting oil everywhere! It seems to be okay now though, I'd never used an SDS before, it's very fun.I treated myself to this,View attachment 156106A 240 volt Bosch SDS drill as I'm fed up luggage the 110volt transformer around the house!
Haven't reported it to the authorities yet though
Is not a sticker right?I treated myself to this,View attachment 156106A 240 volt Bosch SDS drill as I'm fed up luggage the 110volt transformer around the house!

I think his reference to the authorities is the one in charge, his wifeIs not a sticker right?
The bosch logo must be plastic made and the model etc must be printed.
Also the model name is wrong, gbh 2-26 doesn't tell us nothing.
It must be gbh2-26re (electronic regulated)
So if is all a sticker unfortunally can be a fake
