Yes i guess it's the turth .
My family doesn't know yet that i bougth a new grinder ,and also doesn't know that i spent something like 250 euros for it .
So....
I can understend the our friend's situation, not the best one to be into it

My dad has the same one, it had to be sent back under warranty because the chuck was squirting oil everywhere! It seems to be okay now though, I'd never used an SDS before, it's very fun.

After you use an sds drill, you will trow away all the impact drill you have.
Few seconds and you drill into a concrete wall whitout a single problem.
You can do it also whit an impact drill but it can take something like few days to make a single hole
Anyway never use it only one handed .
There are also special mode to take it to controll and avoid kickbacks

Buy longer leads.
Thats my favorite thing with 110. 1 transformer and a lead up and downstairs and im covered for every room.
Cant resist picking leads up from car boots. Spiders are very handy too.

Depends on the material.
Some bricks/blocks drill fine with a percusion drill. If rhe first hole is a pig the sds comes out.

It's a real one bought from a reputable company. I've had my old 110 volt Bosch SDS for over 20 years and it's still going strong!
Only had to replace the chuck on it.
I like Bosch and they are MUCH less likely to grow legs on a site where anything Makita or DeWalt goes missing and ends up at the local carboot sale in the back of a Polish Audi......

£5 for the grinder. It's a 110v one that some goon's put the wrong plug on. I'll rewire it tomorrow and see if it's dead or not. I only got it because I have a couple of boxes of 4" discs that came my way free a while back. N+1 seems to apply to grinders as well as bikes

Can you afford to make them out of one of the mild steel cylinders and then buy some case hardening powder to give them a few thou of hardness on the edges & sides ? You wouldn't need to case harden right up to the riveting on holes would you ?

No money in the tool, I will only get 10 quid for it, any repair has to be for no cost except my time and some scrap.

Oil quenching mild steel might be an option.

I got a new engine along with a new ECO in my works van, and a Quick fitting tyre fitting place has to pay the Vauxhall main dealer.

The company had the van serviced at a tyre fitting place, who fitted a new timing belt.
Just the belt it turns out.
It has bean running poorly, so it goes back. They test the battery and tell out office it is that what's causing the issue. Don't start me on that. They also did the drop test with the ignition switched on. The ECU memory tells the main dealer that. That meant the ECU was also fried.

Monday on the famous A303, there was the famous noise of valves meeting pistons and lots of smoke.
Mr RAC takes me to main dealer.

The factory marks on the gears etc. are still intact, only the tensioners marks were broken. plus one of the pulleys was melted, were it was seizing.
The result.
When is finally stopped rotating the belt went.

So the last 2 days I was in a brand new car and now I have a brand new engine and ECU.

I am leaving the legal side to the office, main dealer and a tyre place to sort.

I somehow came top of the class and got a pass Mark of 90%!!!

I've also just been rumbled about the new drill.......

The main dealers are no better TYA, the air filter below came out of one of my trucks that had been dealer maintained for the first 100k of its life , how many times was it sent back without them even looking at it?

When you think you've exhausted all search options and go and buy a new one you find a second hand one and it's local too

Been looking for a tailstock barrel off an M300 for many weeks
and gave up hope so sold a kidney and bought a new one from Colchester

Yesterday I had a lead on a SH tailstock and it was less than 20mins from home. Met the guy today and did a deal on it plus some other goodies



Which when unloaded from the boot are in no particular order
