Added fuel costs. Longer journey times.

No roof rack for long timbers.

Sure I could think of more reasons.
If today didn't fix it was gonna buy a cheap van for a few weeks

theft is same as van? just different solution? or - remove hitch and/or wheels rather than wheel clamp - alarm either way.

I would argue benefits outweigh
.fuel cost likewise.

are the journey times significant?
on A roads,
car + trailer = 60mph
van = 60mph

on m/ways - 100 miles @60mph= 1hr 40
@70mpg = 1hr 30.

chances are, you'll be doing less than this, so difference will be reduced.


at £30/HR = £5 each way difference. maybe significant?


compare it to a lost day's work when your van breaks down?
40hr weeks, 8 hour days, 5 day weeks, 50 weeks a year, £30 an hr

so (5d x50w x £5 per week) = 1350 a year extra.
1 days labour = 8hr x£30 = £240

so breakeven is
1350/240 = 5days 5hrs per year in breakdowns. worst case.(100 mile to job, each way, every day)

I don't know your hourly rate for labour - less makes trailer more economic. larger hourly rate makes it less so.

why can't you put a rrofrack on a trailer - I put one on a horse trailer to carry my market stall?

A gas central heating boiler. We have no gas here. Either it will get weighed in as its heavy or I'll look into running off bottles and use it to warm up a couple of sheds, No idea how practical that idea is though

Yeah. I have inner and outers on my other bike so only right to get them on this one as well. - never go back to round rings after using these.

I'd put em on my 5.2m lexus with its 2t towing capacity.

No Id get them delivered free, with my trade account! Saves so much time as its a 40 mile round trip.

Yes The Ss daggers are fairly common and well documented on line, this one is quite abused and the handle is cracked, the naval dagger apperars to be older pre ww1, but cant pin it down exactly.

Depends on the boiler, some cannot be converted
