No, the speed chart on the top of the headstock, it had a green line and a red line, and some numbers. Tony at lathes.co.uk isn’t too helpful on the subject, just basically says he doesn’t understand it either!if you mean all the Latin on your Norton box then i don't have a clue mate

Ahh that silly thing..i have it on mine and could never get my head around it. i ended up buying a cheap RPM laser gauge and working from that off the chuck

Looks like I need to pop round and help you create some space to put it.....picked this up tonight....sometimes my mechanical hacksaw does my head in with the regular "thump thump thump" as it cuts...just wanted something a bit more civilized to hack off some stock bar

Front lever left = slow range (green) front lever right = fast range (orange/red). Pretty self-explanatory IMO.
