Today I acquired...........

Well I have always wanted a nice work bench or welding table. I have had my Record vice for 18 years and used it once!
Spotted this bargain on EBay. Asked the bloke to put it upside down on a pallet for me. Booked as 2 spaces. 18mm top and 6mm box section.

Well got it upright - weighs about 500kg.
20mm plate not 18 very happy!

Today (well last night) I acquired a stinking cold and fever. Spent most of the day in bed. First time I’ve had a sicky in over 10 years

Picked up the no2 bender for £50 and the anvil for a tenner. Absolutely over the moon.

Bloody nice bloke too.

Yup 20mm solid plate! I paid £250 for it - the steel alone I priced up at £500! Legs are 6mm box.

As already posted I acquired another Vice.



A No6 Parkinson Engineer vice.
It is stiff to use, but at least it moves.



Plus I acquired more brass hose fittings.

Depends on the size and the make I think. And the condition of course.

The prices have gone up since every man and his dog wants to make swords and knives (don’t understand it myself). This is a smallish anvil but perfect for the general workshop stuff I’m going to use it for.
