A conversation about restoration work I do led me to ask one of my tutors if he’d like me to do one of his planes for him. ‘You can actually have that, I never use it’.

So now I have a rather rare and expensive compass plane. A Stanley Victor No20, pre-1919 because it has nickel plating.

The biscuits weren’t as nice as I thought, almond and caramel, wouldn’t recommend

Well.
Friday I acquired a good understanding of my local A&E, twice.
I know, right. Greedy.

Today I acquired the following.
Knee brace, in black.
Ankle brace in white elasticated bandages and plastic.
5 prescriptions.


All for stress tears of ligaments in knee and radial hairline fractures of heel and to get the hat trick,
Sprained ankle.

Plus an injection to help solve the pain issues.
It did not go in the arm.
Nor the leg.
Or the Gluteus Maximus.
Due to fun with my nerves it is a slow release injection into neck.

I guess the recycling centres will have full skips coming in again for the next few weeks.

I can foresee a newspaper headline - 'Wiltshire junk shops closing due to sudden lack of trade'

Yesterday I aquired a door shaped hole in the side of my van.
Door didnt latch properly and slinging it from rev to forward with enthusiasm took it off its runners. (Worn rollers didnt help)
Had to take the bottom bracket off and slide in manually as the bottom of the door is deformed.
Can probably bash it back short term but a new door is in order.

Won this on ebay and collected tonight.
Means I can finish my model L.
Somebody carefully milled inserts to the v and flat for use on another lathe but looks to be removable.
Chaps dad was a metalworking teacher and has unfortunately gone to a home.
Couldnt resist taking extra cash when I heard.

Nice haul you got there Elusivemite. The sloping thing with the stepped sliding section is a planer gauge. Dunno what the angled block with the long threaded wing nut is though.

No nor me. Lots of home made bits there. Thought it might be part of a clamp.
Sure il find a use.

He had a big planer gauge too but couldnt find it.

Any idea on this.
Little grub near my fingers adjusts height. Some kind of measuring equipment I assumed.
