I bought a new chainsaw on Saturday. I have a project on at the moment that needed something with more power and a longer bar than my 20 year old 14" Partner saw. My local farm supply stores have been selling Zomax saws for the last few years and after a chat with their salesman and their mechanic, I bought a 20" Zomax 5410. I spent the weekend "makin it sweat" and I gotta say I was very impressed.

Yeah, I know what you mean. However, i wasn't prepared to drop €800 for a 20" Stihl or a Husky when I don't have plans to use the saw regularly. My 14" Partner saw is usually enough of a saw for me but I have some large trees down from a recent storm that were too big for the Partner. At €300 out the door for the 20" Zomax, it has already paid for itself and I'm only 1/4 way through my project. The 'small engine' mechanic I spoke to (also a neighbour of mine) said he hadn't had many of these saws back for genuine warranty repairs in the 6 years he worked there. That testimony is worth something.
Either way, I'm impressed so far and I've got my moneys worth. ;-)
I had considered buying a used "known brand" saw but you know what a minefield that can be...

It's actually 25 years so mine is now out of warranty at 31 years old

I have an old jonsereds 621 with a 20” bar, it just laughed at the stihl I had. No chainbrake though so it’s a bit hairy

It's been a good few days. Today I acquired this F.O.C. A filing cabinet
"So what?" I hear you say.
Well, it's not a standard filing cabinet
It takes these very usefully sized drawers
All 9 of them. Here it is in its final resting place (for now, at least)

Mates was having a clean up today as his garage is now a craft room, So he has no where to keep anything. The nail gun has no charger so i can't test it yet.

That shape of drawer is really good for machine stuff, lathe boring bars, mt adaptors, tool steel etc. Chunky stuff etc. Good find

Exactly. I've lots of the smaller drawer units, but they're too shallow for a lot of stuff. I may need to cut the centre piece out though, I've not decided yet.
