^^ Those pins look so incongruous - what would have been there originally? [old ones of the same, I suppose ]
I’ve got some square head coach screws I salvaged from an old Victorian rail line line in London. It was going to get ripped up for Crossrail in 2010. I’ll measure up for you if your interested

Took me a while to find this post. Saw it early in the morning and didn't have time to respond.
In the market for 3 machine feet. Mines levelled via 3 points,
Do they need a new home
How weird is this!! [inserts head-scratching smiley ]
Today I finally got round to looking into the toolbox of spanners I'd bought off F/book Marketplace £15 and had dropped off at my Brother's near Edinburgh, until I could pick them up [actually I could hardly carry the box very far, it weighed so much ]. To give you an idea of size, it's similar to this blue one in an eBay auction.....

When I opened it, I discovered that it's full to the neck with all of the sizes, shapes and kinds - imperial, metric, open ended, ring, a few bike spanners, box spanners etc. etc.
BUT, they all appear to have been blown over with a thin coat of silver paint!! I can only assume that this was done by a previous owner to stop folk nicking them, otherwise why would anyone bother - especially if they were getting rid?? I'm thinking it's maybe been a family clearing out a house, or something.
Anyway, I fished the first one off the top, gave it a run past the wire wheel in the bench grinder, and this is what I found....it's older than me!! Dated 1942 and with the Gov [War Dept?] arrow

It is now free to open and close.
It is an early one, ally frame and 1" ply top.
It dates from about 1973.
