*almost* worthwhile.

I dont do much woodbutchering any more - I probably need to sharpen blades a couple of times a year.
A new blade is only £18 - or my local place sharpens for a tenner.

If I could find one to sharpen router bits, though...
(which cost me £3 apiece to get sharpened)

Should work out cost effective for me.
40 odd quid for a decent blade for my big mitre saw/table saw.
It's track saw blades I'm going to be going through hard now. As il only be using 48t I can blitz through a stack of ten in an hour once it's set.

Got some good stuff today. Delivery of a J & S drill vice, and a few items my Wife found in a charity shop for me. A bunch of Ikea light fixtures, a folding cart (which needs a simple fix), and a plastic box which is perfect for Tig consumables; Happy day !

At one time, Ikea fittings demanded their own size/fitting bulbs, nothing 'ordinary' would fit. Is this still the case?

The fixtures use screw in bulbs, which are not a problem to get. Dorothy said the charity shop " Too Good To Waste " had a huge bin full with hundreds of them. The price was right at 10 pence each.

The cart only needs a piece of 4mm rod for a hinge pin, so not a problem to sort out.

Today I was working on a Farm. The farm house is being converted into a "Up Market Rustic Home" ( Do not start me on that)

Simeple job.
But I was allowed to take 2 items home to save them. Plus some items I found on top of the old fire alarm.



Pulled from a skip, the other 2 were totally destroyed and were left behind. I wonder how much else was skipped.

I removed the cob webs and dead things. They were there for a long time, by the amount of stuff on them.

I'd guess it's a voltmeter, in a bakelite case, with two ranges - maybe 12v and 240v.

Thanks, the dimensions are just about right for consumables, 190mm x 190mm x 40mm deep.

Today, this followed me home - I only went to look....honest! At £10 it's hard to go wrong, I reckon.

Despite only having three legs, it kept up with me all the way back.





It's lacking the foot stand, but it should be an easy 'make' from what I have lying about, assuming it's really necessary.

I like that cart too its the sort of thing father would get exited over for his motorhome, and ive just ordered one off the flebay for him.

This followed me home earlier this week, had an interesting time shifting it



The seller also had this welding table in his garage and for the.money I couldn't leave it there. It's flat and square although the welds are a bit poop, he did say it was his 1st go at welding
