I have used my Evolution circular saw on 10mm steel plenty of times and even 12mm on a couple of occasions and it coped admirably.I used to have the hand held circular saw too, never cut 6mm steel mind. I bet it screamed it’s head off getting through it?
If you are referring to my post then it was surprisingly quiet, certainly quieter than the plasma and quicker too. Straight lines only obviously. What? What did you say?

Surprising. I have a chopsaw of theirs with a metal cutting blade. Not that I have ever tried it on steel, but always thought the neighbors three streets over would here me cutting steel with it
Mine is the metal cutting circular saw, I have had it for at least 15 years and it is used mainly on Aluminium and I just buy the rage blades for it nowadays as they are much cheaper. It is meant to cut up to 6mm steel but as I said I have quite often chopped up sheets of 10mm and when I was doing a repair to a pier I used it to trim 12mm sheets. It is not really any noisier on steel than it is on Aluminium, either that or I am just deafSurprising. I have a chopsaw of theirs with a metal cutting blade. They are. Never bothered finding one as I'm on site day in day out. Track saw is a better option then.I acquired by me, transported by me.
But Not for me, but for MIS.

Needs some work.
Well it doesn't run.
The action of the arm seams to be very "notchy".

It should be a useful tool for MIS.

i have a couple of e-books if you want them?
further point:
possibly *not* a suitable toy for amateurs.
i would arrange some sort of "lock" so it can NOT be used for ripping.
stories of people being skewered/killed from kickback abound.
ps.
the "freud" dado blade set from the states with a 5/16" bore are easily reamed to 16mm to fit european RASs.
As are craftsman fittings: such as moulding heads/planers/sanders etc.
