And looking at their website, the line they run on is immediately behind the premises of one our customers, just off the A19 when you leave the Tyne Tunnel heading north.
Was parked near there at a new customer’s very close to the Stephenson Museum a while back. Gutted that they opened just as I left... But my ”guttedness” was tempered by said customer giving me a presentation insulated mug. As befits a German company, the efficacy of the mug is absolutely awesome, if I make a pot of tea and lock the lid, it’s still almost too hot to drink after 90 minutes.

It was also so tight it wouldn't turn. Think I've done him a favour taking it off him!Winchboy here, Winchmans son. One of the bigger things I've bought from eBay (had to get one up on Winchman for biggest thing bought on ebay) and can't wait to go camping with it, alongside the 3L mercedes engine inside it (rivet counters look away). Any advice would be appreciated as well as spares etc hoping to do a mild restoration of it , knock dents out, re-paint, tart up some of the rougher repairs on the body work where its been plated. Just paid for not yet collected however as its 300 miles away on the south coast, just getting my ear defenders and warm coat ready for it. Luckily we've got an AA membership and it should do 30mpg.

Bought a dinky little hydraulic bender off the bay of thieves for bending smaller diameter thickwall tube and bar.

As a “thank you” from the manager of the factory this morning, for finally clearing his yard of a (supposedly empty...) 40’ container that fought me all the way and put the Hiab to 99% of capacity loading it.
2 boxes containing 24 packets of chocolate covered “mallow bites”, and half a dozen each of flapjack bars and packets of mini shortbreads.
Sadly there’s been a few casualties over the last 100 miles
, and the diet is well and truly down the pan this weekend .

, and the diet is well and truly down the pan this weekend .Not acquired, but bought last week from one of those nameless generically God-awful motorway service areas that the UK delights in producing, Tebay and Gloucester services excepted.
On offer at 2 for £10, no idea how much they are normally, but hopefully more than £5 each, this stuff is superb at cleaning windows and mirrors. Think they started out aimed at the obsessive truck drivers who clean their tyres with a toothbrush, (worryingly, these people exist. I like my motor to be clean and tidy, but it gets filthy at times and I refuse to sweat over it...), but they now stock their excellent range of cleaning products in a lot of outlets.
I have my van/truck windows down to some degree most of the time, summer and winter, and they consequently get grimy on the inside, but this stuff really shifts the muck. I’m so impressed with this stuff I wish I had as much money as Victor Kiam.

IIRC, The CB Shack at Lymm have it at £7.50 a bottle or 3 for £15. I’ve stopped buying the little bottles however, and get the 5l tubs from Lymm - about the only thing going for the place.

Stopped at Gloucester s/b a while back with a 24 metre rail crossing on board to find 2 artic bulkers from Essex in the long load bay. Parked alongside them, booked off for 9 hours and put the kettle on. Sure enough, had a knock on the door 10 minutes in asking me to move.
Me - No, I’m done for the next 9 hours.

Me - What part of “Abnormal Loads Only” don’t you understand? There’s plenty of room in the normal bays for you, you’re either too idle to use them or just another inconsiderate t**t who thinks the world revolves around him...
Mr Clever - (puffing out his chest and trying to look menacing) Move it or else!
Me - (looking at him over the top of my glasses with a slightly amused expression) Hang on a minute son.
At which point I pressed dial on the phone, number already entered, and rang his boss to complain about his aggressive driver that’s blocking the abnormal load bay, and left it on speakerphone. The guy’s boss played merry hell with him while he stood by my door, and finished off by giving him a verbal warning!!! The pair of them then had to reverse out from the bay, made worse by a wobble box that had pulled in behind them
. Laugh? I almost wet myself watching it all unfold, but the pair of them subsequently slunk out of the services hiding behind their half closed frilly curtains .

Yes, it is.
A bit pricey for some stuff, but it’s clean and well kept. On another plus note, it doesn’t stink of pee, which is sadly the norm in services. I mean who wants to walk 400yards to the loo and back again?
