A glow in the dark torch to add to my ever growing collection of torches. Got an LED upgrade bulb on the way, not a genuine wolf one as they're £40, a knock off drop in replacement for a tenner.

Im guessing £40 k plus import duties for machines that aint as great as the yanks think and not a patch on dsg, lang, swift etc would make you a bigger nut thsn I first thought!

I went a bit mad in Dixon's at Manchester Airport terminal 2 last week and bought some Sennheiser Momentum 3 over ear wireless headphones before boarding the flight to the US. They were 30 quid cheaper than the Amazon price, but still dear, however I commute a lot and my in-ear headphones were annoying me. They also come with a lead so you can use them on aircraft.

So far, worth every penny. I did have some wired Bose QuietComfort IIs at one point, the noise cancelling was good but the sound was pants and the build quality/design appalling, dropped to bits a week after the warranty expired.

No complaints on the noise cancelling on the Sennheiser, some say the Sony/Bose are better in this respect but the sound is cracking and the Bluetooth/NFC pairing works straight away. Well comfortable too and well engineered. Microphone for phone calls works well, battery seems to last well long enough. Altogether by far the best I've tried yet.

I've had some Senheiser HD2 headphones for well over a decade, I've replaced the pads due to wear and the lead by choice for a longer copper one.
Wouldn't consider any other make for headphones

@jimbo84 can you provide a link to the LED bulb please. Ive got a few of these that need bringing back into service but hesitated at the cost of the WOLF led upgrade

I went for a 1w version, 120lm. There are brighter 3w versions available but I wanted a bit of battery life over output, if I need output I have my Dragon searchlight

Today I was given a large sash cramp. Overall length 5'. The bar is 2" x 1/2" so should be substantial enough for welding work as I'm unlikely to do anything with wood that large that would need clamping. Given to me by a relative who a couple of weeks ago gave me a lot of quality taps and dies and holders. I'm very grateful to him for his generosity but equally he told me that he was pleased to give them to someone who would use them rather than let a house clearer throw them in the scrap iron.

Today I acquired hit and run damage to my parked van , however, I have great video camera footage from two different angles by two of my neighbours showing the car, licence number, and a fair image of the driver for the Police and our Insurance company.

3 cabinets - 25 more drawers for the garage! A little surface rust on the outside, nothing a sand off and re-paint when it gets warmer won't cure For the time being a quick wipe down with ACF50 will suffice

A couple of AA-sized Li-Ion rechargeables for a pair of vest pocket LED torches.
I've had the torches for a number of years (Banggood specials) and they've been OK with normal AA cells, but I knew they'd run fine with a nominal 4V battery in them.
What a difference it makes.
Also got a 17500 Li-Ion cell to replace the daft little 3xAAA holder in another torch - same thing applied to that, and there was the added annoyance that in the triple-cell holder there was always one weak cell that went first.

Prices are ok, shipping not bad and better than ebay anonymous junk.

Treated the wife-to-be to an ikea trip, picked up a very nice adjustable desk lamp and some 2450mAh rechargeable batteries for myself. Rumoured in some scanning circles to be Enloop in a different wrapper

Dark winter nights I become an old fogie and listen to the SW wireless, the mains adapter is noisy so run on batteries, I will compare the ikea ones to the Enloop and see if they are the same

Strange me and the mrs was just discussing these cabinets, since moving we haven't properly relocated my tax stuff.
