Just checked my scanner, lives in the pickup so subject to all temp variations. IKEA batteries, been badly charged through usb and they are still spot on

The Ikea in Sheffield stands on the site of the former Tinsley Wire Co who once upon a time produced MIG wire....TWILCO if anyone has heard of it.....before it closed I think they were only making Fencing.

I like to listen, civil air band is a bit boring but I do like marine and military frequencies.
I can also scan the amateur bands and see if anyone is on frequency, my radio scans far slower than the scanner

We went on a Uni Field trip there in 1991. Don’t remember the factory much but never forgotten the Frog and Parrot pub

Right....did you have the "over and out".......they only serve it in one third of a pint as its 17% alcohol beer (i think its 12) and if you have one you get a certificate. I used to take the Americans when they came over...Never had one myself as I was usually driving and if not, that pub is on the standard real ale pub crawl at about No5 so by that time I had already had enough without dropping a 17%.
To be honest I was told its not very nice, more like a Barley Wine than a beer

I can’t remember what it was called but that’s the reason we went, don’t know about the certificate, we may have got one. Don’t really remember much from that night

It's an experience to behold , I thought like you .. but actually went there one very wet cold windy day whilst on holiday with our caravan . I got my outlander charged for free & had a decent quality feed for not a lot of money .
Went through the minefield of goods .. happened to pick up several , " I've been looking for that for ages " purchases . Found we'd been lost to the world for nearly three hours by the time we got back to the car .
Next time I venture forth from the cave and cross the tundra I'll head there for lunch again , the quality & range of the food available far outweighs the presence of Wayne's , Wanetta's & their accompanying irritants in the store as most who won't visit the eatery in any case for they serve healthy food , veg & fruit .

I am returning as I've decided to redo my boys room with a high sleeper bed, all started because I couldnt squeeze a desk in for his Rasberry Pi I've bought him for christmas

a raspberry pi is only about 4in square - how big a desk would it need?
