The sealant was just skinning over on my mum's newly installed double glazed uPVC windows, doors etc many years ago (and all the houses on here road basically have a timber/uPVC front and back due to the design, so its pretty obvious) when as a lad, I answered the new door to a knock . . .I get flyers through the door from stairlift companies, and I'm in a bungalow, so don't be too disheartened.
I would imagine there still is, to stop burning liquid running into the house etc, but this extra front piece would be more of a porch, than a garage. I'll probably leave the original up and over door in place too, for security and safety, if I do go with the plan.

My sister fitted new hi tech all aluminium framed double glazing, way back in time. Ten years of dripping bare alloy frames and puddles of water on window sills.... and they replaces the lot with UPVC.

I was desperate to get away from the sicko psycho skank who had moved in next door at our old place, so took the only detached place that was available....

Even as a kid I could never work out why metal framed new windows were a good idea . . . especially installed into wooden framework.
They aren't something I can do at home, as far as I know.
When the summer restarts and the rain finally stops go take in some two wheel distance therapy!Well, I started cleaning and painting the rear axle, and found half the circlips are missing from the UJs. I ordered some, then thought I'd press the caps in enough to fit the clips when they arrive. They won't go in far enough. Disassembling with a G clamp and some improvisation I found half the needle rollers are missing, or wedged inside the end of the bearing cap..... So four new UJs needed.
Then I found one hub bearing is loose, the other very rumbly when turned. So two recon hubs required.....
I'm slowly losing interest with this project, so I'm not ordering the parts until much further into the assembly, if it indeed goes much further. My mojo has mojoed off somewhere far away.
I got out on my bikes almost every day, but I'm doing it just for something to do nowadays more than the old joy of riding. I went out and washed both bikes earlier, trying to kick start myself into gear, then went in the shed, where the Jag axle then kicked me in the feelies.
