I like the BSA double ended spanners, but they are a bit chunky most of the time.

Chunky right enough, are they double size per end?
Doing some more tidying today and came across some more old spanners which may be of interest.
First this one, no name on it but the shape is interesting but more so is the differing ends. It is a combination spanner with a difference. I think it must have been made for a service kit for some specific machine.

Next is maybe from a valve or something?

Found quite a few of these, never heard of the make before but it is American. The 20 is not the size but seems to be a model number of some kind.

Next up what I presume was from a Vincent motorbike tool kit.

This last one is very interesting though. A.H.D.M.CO is the make and dated 1939.

The interesting bit however is the size, suspect it would be quite unusual for that vintage.

Thanks for that, knew it had to be for a specific taskThe top spanner is a spark plug spanner, for a Standard Fordson or E27N Fordson Major, petrol or petrol paraffin tractor. Mid 1920s to early 1950s. 1&1/8" open end and 9/16 ring of (29mm and 14mm aprox).
They are beautiful spanners in the hand, sadly I only have a few but along with the Elora they are some of my favourites.I still have and use a set of open enders made by Stahlwille Germany, Bought on them from a tool man that came to the steel works when I was an apprentice 57 years ago, Lovely slim spanners but have stood the test of time, imprinted with the claim, "stronger than any bolt"
Pity, I have a few Vincent spanners.I don't think the Vincent spanners are associated with the motorcycle company. I Have a couple and read that online.
Mart.
I think I have some Jenbro as well, name certainly sounds familiar.Pity, I have a few Vincent spanners.
I wrongly assumed they were motorcycle toolkit spanners, my Triumph has triumph spanners and BMW has BMW marked ones. Vincent motorcycles used Jenbro whitworth spanners and Terry's BA.
