First off ring warco and ask them for an instruction book, they are fairly recent machines, if from a school probably not barley been used and wont be that old. Warco technical were quite helpful last time I spoke to them. I suspect the lathe and suds pump will be three phase and the lamp / dro if fitted single. There actually not a bad lathe to be honest, did you get all the bits with them, they are normally supplied with 3 and 4 haws, two steadies etc.
Id aslo suggest a static phase convertor, but if its the two speed motor youll get the lower speeds running fine but higher speeds will be a pain switching the capacitance about for each speed. In which case use an extra motor and go rotary.
Transwave are very helpful with phase convertors. An oversized convertor is best, to allow for the starting current
