I've had a look...to be honest I think I'm going to go with 2.4x1.2m

I think I'd be asking a lot of you get one into budget (it's a very firm and very stretched budget)

What's so special about them that it would make enough of a difference to what I do to justify the extra cost?

The accuracy of what?

Length, width, height? hole diameter? Hole spacing? Flatness?

Standard Laser cut tolerance is 0.2mm WCS, the steel I'm using to make things has more deviation than that before I even put a weld anywhere near it.

Flatness could play a part I suppose if it was really bad but considering I'm getting things flat (enough) using what I can only describe as a large wooden banana, I'm not too concerned.

I'm all for mega good equipment, but it's not necessary here and would just use up money for something else that is necessary.

Quoted tolerance is +/-0.2mm.

Let's be realistic here though. It could be 5 times that and id probably get on just fine.

Thats where my table top cam from. Does the job. Use the half mole clamps or 1/2 coach bolts to hold stuff.

Interested to hear how you get on with it. In the similar situation really need something bit wider around 1500mm for the work I do.

Considered 2 of the gpph to give 3x1.5mtr but price is eye watering.

Think I’m going to price up some material and see how it compares.

Price on the ECO 3M x 1.48M GPPH can work out very reasonable if you know the right people

It arrived yesterday.

Lovely bit of kit. definitely can see why it's an budget model but I'm absolutely delighted. Lots of holes to chamfer...

I've quickly leveled it out and done some initial measuring with a straight edge.

Theres some sag in some areas of about 0.3mm at worst...which is well within the quoted tolerance and definitely good enough for what I'm making.

And there's a random extra grid etching line across the whole length....think someone made a booboo setting up the laser!

So the etch lines and holes are lasered rather than machined? Interesting. So this is basically about the same level of quality as the Mac tables then.

Certainly looks the part and 0.3mm is pretty flat over that size.
