Ive been using a esab welding jacket for a few weeks now and its brilliant. Its ideal for stick welding and cutting/grinding protection. It stops the little bits of wire that fly out of the cup brushes from embedding themselves in your skin. Im sure it was tig paul that recommended them, he said they pop up on ebay quite often. Thats where i got mine from, brand new it was about 35 quid delivered.Thanks.

I have been looking at these but not sure what size I need. I'm a 43" chest

Mine is a xxl and its a good fit. you definately need to get a bigger size than you need.

Just measured and im a 47". If i were you mate i would go for the xl or the same as mine as there is no give in them. hope it helps.

No worries. They are good for the money. i wish i had bought one years ago. ive ruined too many items if clothing.

Its mainly arc welding I want it for. No top results in many burns on my arm near to my elbow. Normal overalls help but still burn holes through them. It's the price which attracted me to them . I dont want Anthing that feels to heavy or stiff to restrict movment

Arc and plasma cutting is what i mainly use mine for. They are quite comfortable to work in. just get a big size. i tried to find a local supplier that sold them so i could try one on but couldnt find any.

Ive just had a look on a couple of websites and mine which is a 2xl is meant for a 52" chest. so the size guide is a bit out.

i wear a snickers jacket for welding if its cold have it bout 3 year and its still spot on for welding arms fairly burnt on the jacket but nothing burns through never liked welding jackets have a leather one that's only used for welding overhead mig on galv
trousers wise its always snickers aswel purely for comfort and lasting snap-on boots best boots iv had fierce comfy and great flex in the sole
during the summer its a polo shirt and leather sleeves

They're snap-on gr4 vr6 s/t ,the best boot out there. They last ages and aren't dear.

I ordered my esab jacket Sunday and it arrived today. Have not used it yet but visually very happy with it. Very comfortable to wear, does not feel to heavy or restrictive and apears well made. Was £31.50 Inc 48hour delivery from eBay. There are others oN eBay for so same money but they appear to be all yellow leather, think it would be a bit on the heavy side
