I find normal sticking plasters are next to useless in a workshop environment, they just don't last. To protect them I normally add insulating tape & wear a nitrile glove. If it's on a finger I just use a finger cut from a glove sealed at the top with tape & tape reinforcing.
Has anyone discovered a plaster wrapping tape that doesn't open when it gets wet?
Something I recently started using is liquid plaster from germolene. It's great for sealing cuts in awkward places & getting the healing process started.
After a couple of recent trips to A&E with debris in my eye I have started to wash my eyes out every night if I have been grinding, welding or doing anything dusty. I just use a plastic eye bath filled with one of those 10ml bottles of saline, slightly warmed in the microwave & it's amazing what crap comes out of them.
