Just got two wee ayam cemani pullets like these, don't know how much good as a) they're tiny and b) they're totally black (including the skin and meat) so you couldn't tell when they were "done"

Creepiest looking chicken ever on pictures (looks like a bronze) but actually very nice characters in real life. Our two are not pure (AC cock with another hen) so were cheap enough. The pure bred ones are insanely expensive, up to thousands per bird!

Just done an exhaust for a Yamaha Virago 535, blooming rusty piece of tin, thought it was stainless at first, then realised it was just mild steel chromed, seems to have a brass collar sunk in the end that goes against the engine block or either that or was very heavy plating before being chromed.

Ended up with Mig using weld a bit then wait , weld a bit wait, chasing the holes where the tin worms had been, got there in the end with a good use of the flap wheel.
Sorry no pics.

Did try the TIG but ran out of gas.

I hope you had good ventilation or a respirator when welding that, the hexavalent chromium it will produce is nasty stuff.

Ah what Chromium No I do need to get an extractor! I'm not a real welder.

Took the remains of my front disc backing plates

And made a couple of new ones, I know it's only supporting the brake pipe now but it wasn't doing much else before

Only 160 quid saved

Re-welded (badly in most places) a garden spade that had split where the handle meets the spade.
Took one fork with a broken handle and bent forks, cut two off and welded to the back of the spade.

Ok guys heres a few pics of some of the shrapnel I have to deal with. The skip which is loaded was reversed into by a dustcart, the driver was suspended.
Repairing these skips can be time consuming because your working outside with Mig, the gas gets blown away, the metal whats left is paper thin, the bins are deformed and your relying on the weather. Appart from that its not bad

Having worked many a summer in a skip firm for pounds and raking, that is a bloody grand job mate. Did you have a lucky still day or just a high flow rate on the gas?

My Dad did this very same thing for a while with oxy acetylene and stick on a buzz box. Happy memories Simon, thanks for reminding me

The back field is very open and even a slight breeze is a pain in the butt for blowing the gas away so I upped the gas flow to 20 l/m, if it gets a tad more than a breeze i put it up a tad more. the new optrel 684 mask with respirator is a pleasure to use, no more fumes and no more hot forehead
Reckon theres nigh on 100 skips to do and a couple of roll ons. I have a Remu screener bucket to rebuild tomorrow so I am quite busy tinkering away

Sounds like you're having fun there mate

Roll on the summer days and outdoor welding, it's great here when there's low wind and I can outdoor TIG

Just in case your wondering what a remu screener bucket looks like inside. Lack of oil and grease fried the bearing/bearing

housing/housing end cap/oil seals
