That could have been dangerous, thats just under half of the mower blade that flew off whilst in use
It must have been part fracture since last year as half the crack is rusty

I lost a fan blade on a Morris Minor many years ago, the blade ran across the rad & knocked the drain tap out of the bottom. Luckily it just scored the fins & no damage to the core, this happened right outside a pub, so we got a cork, shoved it in the hole where the tap was & drove home. It turned out the water pump had some slack in it & allowed the blades to oscillate a bit until it broke across the fixing bolts.I was once following a friend in his Sunbeam Rapier in the early 70s at rather a fast rate when I saw something fly up , when he eventually turned up at our destination he showed me the hole in his bonnet where a fan blade had made a successful bid for freedom
thats a joke a person does criminal damage and the police dont want to help ?Not me but persons unknown - came down to this mess Saturday morning

That used to be a post and rail fence with stock fencing faced with 3 foot close boarded fencing. Much pulped and the rest shifted down the road a bit.
Vehicle must have left the road mounted the verge, wiped out my verge markers, clipped the right hand farm sign (left one untouched), trashed the fence and continued on it's way leaving a lot of debris behind

Now surprise surprise the driver didn't call in and confess but just drove on.
But guess what I found 1.3 miles further down the A21 towards Hastings.

And it's even got some of my post and rail fence still in it's front grille !!!
Police are being a pain and refusing to give me the owners details so I can claim against his insurance (ASKMID says that it is insured and taxed) - my insurance specifically excludes fences but I suspect that the sign is covered.
Most likely they can't share details due to GDPRthats a joke a person does criminal damage and the police dont want to help ?

Tow his car away and give it back when they pay up ?
Can't you submit a claim to your insurers and provide them with the car details, pictures, etc, and leave them to pursue the claim against the other person, or does it not work like that?If I can find the owner / insurance company then I'll be ok but the Plice are not helping.

The power of a picture on face book with reg number will find the owner for you fairly quickly! It seems to have happened at about 10.30 in the evening so quite likely drink was involved, BUT they may simply have had a tyre blow out.
The near side front is definitely flat now, but I'm amazed it made it 1.3 miles down the road. Tyre marks on my verge show that it was reversed off then spun off on it's merry way.

Lucky no one was out trimming the hedge when the "blowout" occurred
