Been there, done that, but easier to remove than barbed wire.Today I introduced our bush hog (rotary cutter) to one of our garden hoses. The meeting did not go well.

Henrietta Hover per chance ?I once had a girlfriend that wouldn’t agree with your wife, Those were the days!
Your physics teacher should have also informed you guys that it was a partial vacuum . There is no such thing as a vacuum except in some folks heads .Yep, the way our physics teacher explained it: if you put your hand over a pipe and then put a vacuum in the pipe, there's nothing in the pipe. You can't pull against nothing so it's the something on the outside that's pushing, not the nothing on the inside that's pulling.
I 've used a thick walled ( 1/2 "old heavy black conical plastic dust bin for our sheds cleaner . Made a long radius set of arms for the router and routed out two bIn & a bit sized diameter rounds (78cm. dia ) in 15 mm ply ,got the them glued & screwed up , then put cling film over the rim of the bin and then ran a decent thick bead of silicone round the rim , set the lid on with weights and let it cure for a week before cutting the cyclones holes . Made simple blocks to fit the lid so it always locates over the lock down handles . It appears to work well . The thick wall conical shape is tremendously strong , I didn't need to make a pressure relief flap for the lid in case the depression inside got too great .The cyclone is up and running again.
I had a spare tub from one of the Lidl ash collectors that were so rubbish I don't know why I bought two, but at least I had a spare.

To prevent this one imploding, I rolled a ring out of 25 x 5 flat bar and hammered into the center of the tub.
It's a tight fit so I didn't fix it in place but just welded the ends of the ring together.
I also pop rivetted a plate over the original inlet.

We will see if this is man enough for the job.
I must say it is handy having a ring roller for the few times you need it.

I was always told that a vacuum is an absolute, so there's no such think as a "partial" vacuum, it's either a vacuum or something with low pressure!Your physics teacher should have also informed you guys that it was a partial vacuum . There is no such thing as a vacuum except in some folks heads .

But we have low alcohol AND alcohol free. Low alcohol is I believe defined as below 2% proof and kids can buy it, or used to when I was a kid, whereas alcohol free by definition doesn't have any. Quite important for drivers!I was actually just jokingly replying to the point about vacuums, which is really about grammar rather than physics since you can't be partially absent, you're either here or you aren't as a rule!Reductio ad absurdum - there lies madness.
If there were to be a single molecule of anything within the boundary of your 'vacuum' then by your definition you no longer have a vacuum. Even though there is no measurement technique to detect that molecule - yet.
That is why we have Unleaded (no added Lead) Petrol but the Germans have BleiFrei - different legal systems.
Similarly we have Low Alcohol Beer, but they have AlkoholFrei Beer.
Amputees, line up here.since you can't be partially absent
