Ive got the same regulator as you have and usually have it set a bit lower than in the pic you posted a few days back, however it does look like there is lack of shield gas.
Perhaps your valve on the bottle isnt fully open, so make sure you open the valve on the neck of the bottle fully, if you just crack it the guages will read ok but watch what happens when you pull the trigger. The gas is flowing out quicker than it can flow in.
apart from that 6mm wire is better for thin panels, and looking good compared to first page
Sean
PS if you have a flow meter use that to set the gas flow it doesnt matter what the output guage says
cheers sean
im sure i open my bottle fully but will double check next time i get chance to have a go
i dont have a flow meter but i think it may be high on the list of things to buy next
i will be welding a section in that has a plate that welds to the section where the bumper mounts it was spot welded and i will be plug welding but the bumper mounting plate is thicker than the section so do i plug weld the thick to the thin or plug weld the thin to the thick
cheers
What thicknesses are you talking about Richard? If you're using your 130 amp Siegen then you'll probably have to go thick to thin as you may not have enough grunt to properly penetrate the thicker plate.
