Yipe CCAR and De-Dion back end

Saw plenty of those at the Dax open days, and not a bad one amongst them. The CCAR is awesome. Shame DJ Sportscars couldn't keep things going

Agreed, I had three scuttles before I had a decent one! The good bit was that I got most of my kit at an extremely good price by doing cash deals with Simon

I stripped my bathroom out in 2010. Still not quite finished:

- UFH not connected
- Towel rad not connected
- Mirror not connected
- Body dryer not connected
- 1 tile still not fitted
- No bog roll holder

They were made by Triton some years ago. Lots of failures with the MK1 with moisture condensing on the PCB and killing it. The later model was better. Not sure what mine is but the PCB will get a spray with conformal coating for good measure. I picked it up bnib for peanuts. The seller had done their new bathroom then got it expecting to connect to the lighting circuit!

I've run it once off a 32A socket at work. Think Harrier jump jet.

Don't mind at all. I'm on my phone typing this which never goes well so I'll be brief and elaborate later.
It's a 2.0 litre dohc out of a Granada with an mt75 box. Anglia rear axle on a Satchell link rear. Front is twin wishbone. All with coil overs.
The engine was fully rebuilt as was the axle.

I’ve got the car on stands in one garage and all the spares on shelves filling up a second. Just hope when I’m gone wifey doesn’t sell it all for what I told her it cost :-)

Really does sound like a solution to a problem that didn’t exist but i certainly won’t knock it until I’ve tried it !

The restoration of a "National HRO" WWII radio receiver, project started ~2010. The HRO was one of the main receivers used at Bletchley Park. In the 60's, they were sold in huge quantities to radio hams and the one I have was bought when I was just a kid. Made in the 1940's, just about all the resistors and capacitors need changing now. Where things got bogged down was when I started to made some modifications to make it more suitable for modern use (e.g. the reception of SSB). Well past the point of no return now.

I can see all the water left in the bath, shampoo containers (I have one . . . Maria has a dozen or so I reckon in the window . . ) flannels, silver thread gloves, exfoliating scrubs, all being blown up into the air and all over the place . . .
