Yes, 100% agree. Even a really good quality battery does badly if the car sits for long periods with nothing but the central locking /security system gradually polarising it.The cheapo crappo ones from Eurocarparts have survived intermittant use in my trials car and Lancia - need the odd charge up due to the lack of use.
I think constant use is the key to long life. Intermittant use isn't good unless you keep them on a conditioner.
I thought Varna and Yuasa came out of the same factory. The two types of gel batteries we use on karts come from the same source.thats why i asked , dont touch yuasa , brother had two go just after warranty run out..
This..The best batteries always are the genuine ones that come with the car. They seem to last for years 6 to 8 is common.
not after the couple my brother had , both died within months of warranty expiring, thanks thodef Yuasa if the vehicle is a keeper...
varta finished ? suprising they are listed for sale everywhere ?I been fitting Bosch blue and silver at the workshop. Plus Exide...
Varta have all but finished - even VAG group cars are not fitted as standard with them.

Yes I always use Tayna as well. Buy the best deal ones they have on offer - great service never any trouble!Tayna batteries for me also, the last couple for different L200s have been the EUROLINE
I try to buy Yuasa as well - made in Wales!Yuasa is all I buy , I do get the odd truck battery given though .
