Cross rail cleaned and sorted waiting for primer. Later on down the line I will scrap the ways.

Today...made a start on the first part of the shaper cube. All edges have been re filed and stoned except the rear as this mounts against the back half of the cube. The usual machinery restorations standard.

A couple of things I need to change on the shaper cube. The three bolts inside the cube are 7/16 whitworth. The washer are not. The don't sit on the slots properly. So I will make some different ones. Plus I will replace the bolts with longer ones do they sit full depth of the thread. I aint fussy.... plus I actually for got to remove the red oxide as its supposed to be the light grey primer...hmmmmm

Today. Going to make some 7/16 28x5mm thick washers. I would use the empire lathe but its currently in parts...or some parts. So I had this brand new rotabroach element 14 cut off saw with one of these new cermet carbide blades. I used it once for a single cut.....hate these saws...really don't like em. But have got to use it.
