mate at least no porosity which is a good point..
So comparing those to mine looks like I need to reduce the ams a bit and that will give me a higher bead ?mate to these study this
and compare amps..

mate the feeling I get , also remember if you stop the arc clean off the slag before a restart...

Jim i think it may be technique , keep practicing you will get there , what is your rod angle like , I would try setting the workpiece in a flat position like a V and weld flat , you said you get a good bead in the flat position , this way you can see the angle of the rod to the work , should be vertical and your drag angle 55-65 degrees , try that see what happens , keep plugin away at it it will come !
Ok top pics being the last welds.
Took reference from Andy's high and low amperage and found I had to drop down to around 80 amps for the nikko rd-460 6013 which gives a range 60 to115.
I think everything is set right now it's just practise.
I have changed technique as Tigman suggested and getting better results in the center of my run, I'm still struggling with the start and ending.
If I were to use a a sacrificial lead and tail I could have a beautiful weld .
There is improvement so I will keep at it cos when it goes right it is so satisfying.

Looking at that My starts are not hot enough, Maybe need to hold the puddle abit at the start?mate keep up trying feel it will come can see changes and now for sure no signs of porosity on them, what do you mean about start and end mate... this one could be built up on..

You’re doing grand, keep it up. This may have been mentioned above, but make sure you are running your 6013 electrodes negative; i.e. rod holder connected to the -ve terminal. It’s often (but not always) the case that 6013 needs to run on straight polarity.
Check to see and swap over if needs be.

when you start the arc do you just go straight in to run and when you get to the end do you just stop the arc/weld..
Tightening up your arc shall cause less slag inclusions but incorrect rod angle, amps too low, wrong polarity, damp rods, bad starts, rust/damp/paint/galv etc. On parent material can also give you all sorts of problems
I try to strike about 6mm in and go back to the start when its lit.
At the end I do the same in reverse.
