Actually I might change 2: "when it will be quicker to sharpen the chain than do the next cut"
or when ya hit a nail or screw someone fixed something to the tree with!Actually I might change 2: "when it will be quicker to sharpen the chain than do the next cut"
first tank of fuel has gone through the saw now
a few questions
1. how often should I be removing the bar and cleaning the crud out, I also read to rotate it 180 deg
2. how often to sharpen the blade, I use to sharpen the leccie one after I used it every time
3. how often to clean the air filter
4 what other maintance and how often should it be done?
I place mine on top of a pallet, stops them rolling, then put my left foot on top of the log and cut the size of log I wantanother question,, what is the safest way of cutting logs up to fit in the stove? the saw horse is not ideal as the logs are 2 to feet lng and I need 11" to fit in the stove. It dont feel that safe stanging on them as I cut them!

Not a bad little saw for the money. A little faster than the leccie one perhaps.

I made one of those out of inch box but made it taller as those ones are a tad on the low side. This has been surprisingly effective but the best advice is cut them to length as you go rather than dealing with smaller chunks of log.
1. Clean it every time, the next time you change the cars wiper blades take out the stainless bars that hold the rubbers ideal for cleaning out the groove in the bar. Rotate the bar when you get a new chain.first tank of fuel has gone through the saw now

Yes I ache all over nowIt’s making my back ache just looking at those pictures
3rd tank of fuel now in the saw. Tank is tiny though!
I had to sharpen the chain today there was a stone hiding in the middle of a piece of oak I was cutting by the time I saw the sparks the chain was so blunt I could have sat on it and drove to London town and it would not have cut me butt!
I also found that the chain snagged a few times when cutting the harder wood.
Snagged and stalled the motor.
It was a bit of a mission to pull the chain back out of the half cut wood.
Whay does this happen?
