Blimey that sounds a pain. I wish I had a digger for this project. I could’ve easily got one if I lived near my mums which is annoying. I am building a new garage which is why this gate is going up. I think I’m going to buy a little wooden shed and store things I don’t use that often. I’ll see how much room I have once my garage is done I guess. Its taken me 3 days to get a 20m trench dug for some new power supplies to my barns. I hate grounds works too and I have a digger. But crossing drains and under a wall makes it a hand job.
Gate post looks great kim, your house will move before the post. Liking the key pad, bit fancy, but you youngsters do like your gadjets.
And that mixer will last a life time if you look after it, your going to end up with so many tools you will need a bigger shed
I have already welded on then brackets. I think I’ve done them in an unconventional way but I have a mast planGreat project watching with interest. I’ve got something very similar to do once I finish the deck but I’ll have to bolt closer to the house as I don’t have the width to play with. Interested to see how you attach the gate to the post.
Because I don’t have the room at the front of my house. Where it is my front door is accessible and the width of the drive won’t be reduced. Other than the receiver postJust looking at the pictures @KimB, How comes you've put the gate at the back of your house?
