Absolutely, I have had a couple sleepless nights thinking about a backup plan. I am so glad I don't have to do what I was thinking.

pleased for you , there is always a sence of relief and happiness when a job turns out good , geussing you know that with your driving anyways ! and come to think of it your landie , you may have had slight doubts but I think the majority on here know your abilities are way up there . glad your pleased and look forward to seeing them clad and finished , are you going to get frames galvanised??

Thanks Arther, I appreciate the compliments. Things don't always work out but you take the rough with the smooth. I though this would be the rough, which is a relief that it is not . I am just going to paint them, the paint I used it actually very durable which is great. Just a bit rubbish trying to paint.

I hate painting, I think I am going to spray it which is crap. Luckily I can move my cars and I will try make a tent up inside my gazebo, I'd rather not wreck it

as I am always messy my only advice would be put some old carboard or similar underneath to catch those odd drips/spills that always happen when everything else has panned out ok , you have a few days of good weather according to forecast so should be good

I'm not a great fan of painting either - have you considered a 2" roller for that job?

I was actually going to try that on some scrap. I may do some tomorrow and see. See how my time goes.

Id use a 2 inch brush and or a small roller for that, a good primer first though. Many metal paints go on far far better if you warm them up first.

I use short pile or mohair ones, chuch em when finished.

You've got until Saturday afternoon from what I've seen

Yep get a coat of phosphate primer or similar on it quickly, once you get that orangey brown stuff in there, its there for ever. Blasted/ clean steel blooms with rust very quickly under normal conditions.

I have to remove the gate today because it’s in the way. It will be put away and once I’m done with the digger and dumper I will put it on and paint

Thinking about it, I might take a look at grading the grass off to be able to move the gate right round. I did want it like that in the first instance in case I need to get things round. See how I go today. Lots to sort out.

A week of work yeah. Thanks, it’ll be okay. I have a front garden to dig out and re develop as well.
