Yep 1WG looks like you knicked it and filed the numbers off...I had a J reg 3en2. Sold it cheap when they were not worth much.
Interesting fact: FZR400's have no engine number. They have the model code but no unique identifier.

Nope so waiting again but might as well find a bike and hopefully I’ll have it done this year since i never got it done lastAre the bike tests still running now? Doubt it?
One of the best motorcycling days I ever had was on a friends CBR400RR, the Gull-arm version. A bunch of us were staying in a gite in southern France (not far from Cahors). I was on a VFR750, my best mate was on a ZXR750 and another guy was on a ZZR100. Also in the party were a couple riding Jap import 400s. He had a Suzuki RF400 and his girlfriend (who I worked with) had the CBR400RR. She definitely had the better taste in bikes. He'd suffered an off the day previously and damaged himself and the bike a bit so they were staying in and licking their wounds. I was offered the use of her CBR for the day and jumped at the chance.

What a lovely little bike that was. In spite of having dodgy Bridgestone Cyrox tyres fitted you coukd ride it to the edge of the tread and know exactly what it was doing. I had 4 or 5 quite lurid rear end slides but it was so well balanced that you could get away with it and recover the plot. I was giggling inside my helmet at times I was having that much fun. With some decent tyres and a suspension upgrade it would have been a total weapon. Still fancy getting one twenty-odd years later.
Well spotted. That looks like the pits at bedford autodrome?
get a run on an RVF400 ,,, if your the right size for one they are amazing , Im six foot and 17 stone so its out for me.
Have you had a run on a T Max ,, Im very tempted ,,, very very tempted.make sure your sitting down when you check the prices of them
I paid £1200 for cbr400rr in 2002 feels like an eternity now
Have you looked at the Honda CB-1 (NC27) basically a detuned CBR400 (NC23) engine in a steel frame. They seem to get overlooked and are still reasonable prices. I've had a couple and did my 1st ever trackday on one. I now race (well follow along behind everyone else) a NC23. Currently building one up on YouTube if you're boredAll the 400's are getting expensive now!
