I had my doubts, but it's coming along nicely.

Can't rush these things.

I can't do vertical welds with 6013's.

Hence the sticking it at a 45° angle.

That worked for me.

Yeah, as I said, I've never spent a whole day just melting rods into corners.

Practice, practice, and practice.

Imagine you do this all day long?

Week in, week out, after 2+ days of cutting I'd had enough and was bored of that.

But after 20 hours ish of weldinding, I'm chuffed with my welds, they started peeling the slag off, this morning, at that point I knew, I'd got it right.

Even at 45° things have been a treat.

Very happy with things, all going well.

I've done loads of horizontal before, but this is more challenging.

Interesting project.

No, but I worked in an environment that made truck trailers (Reynolds Boughton) for 8 years (late 80's to early 90's). Seeing the pro's lay down bead after bead and then looking at yours brought back many happy memories.
