Well, I don't know if this holds true for everyone else, but I'd think you'll end up using it quite a bit more than you thought.
Once you're up and running, you'd be more likely to worry about it running out, than it lasting for too long, I would think. Usually you'd use quite a bit more than you'd imagine when you're practicing/getting used to things.

I agree with that!
I thought a bottle would last me about a year/year and a half. I've had it 3 months and I'm nearly half way through already! Jobs always seem to take longer than you think they will.

Think I will go with this BOC deal.. Initial rent cost of £69 for a year and a full bottle that gives almost 8 hours use..

Hobbyweld cylinder alone is £66 plus about £33 a refill so start up is £100 area for a bottle that will give 2 hours use.

Makes more sense going BOC...

First year of 8 hours use at 10/lpm (If I use the 8 hours in a year...)

BOC - £69 for 8 hours worth
HobbyWeld - £198 worked out as £66 (deposit) + 33 (initial fill) = £99 (bottle + 2hours) + 33 refill + 33 refill + 33 refill = £198!!!

Massive saving of about £130 going the BOC route for the start up...

even the years after are a saving going BOC realy

Anyone got a name or "voucher code" etc that BOC that knows about this? Tried to get hold of it today and got a "never heard of it mate" line and told to go to a store to open an account.

Hi Folks,
Literally in the process of signing up, details have changed a bit.
Justin called me back within a few mins but isn't involved in this anymore.

Yes we can still put you on the Volkzone deal, i will post you an application form. You will get an Argoshield Light size Y for £57.53 excl VAT, which includes everything. It is then £23.38 per refill and £34.15 per year rental (prices may be subject to price increase) after the first year.
