The paperwork needs to be by email or phone to their head office - you can't get on the volkzone deal from a shop.
So, when you're on the phone to them, ask whether the local shop will honour the volkzone prices - I can't see why they wouldn't.

I don't pay in the shop for my fill, all my payments are invoiced and paid online, must be a different set-up with the guys I use.

Aye, possibly. You might have a trade account?
I get billed in arrears (aka by invoice) for the cylinder rental, but have to pay in the shop for the refill. For the new folks, pay in the shop means hard cash or credit/debit card.

I use leangate welding supplies in Dunfermline, they are a boc agent, I take in the empty and exchange it, all I have to provide is my boc acc number, boc send me out an invoice for the fill and I can pay over the phone or online.
ive never had an trade acc with boc only the volkszone acc. I have 2 bottles on acc now pure and light. I am looking inb to getting oxy on the acc too as I would like the option of oxy fuel for heating etc....

I pay by standing order, annually. Or rather I should but there was some mix up, and I had to pay by cc over the phone. Must complete the new form they faxed me.
Don't see why you can't open an account and pay the rental over the phone, get them to email you the account details, then pay for the gas in the shop.

I think it's a cart and horse thing - when you go to the shop, they swipe the specific barcoded bottle out to your account and that's what triggers the rental.
If my experience is correct then you wouldn't be able to pay the rental when setting up the account because the specific bottle hasn't been swiped out to you yet.

You might get charged full price and if it's not on the Volkzone offer the bottle has to be returned and exchanged. Seems daft but that's the way I had to do it for accounting purposes. My last 12 monthly bottle rental dated September 2014 for Argon size Y was £67.08 and the gas price with environmental charge in June 2014 was £39.18 (all inc Vat) total £106.26.
is that for pure argon and bottle rental,may have heard him wrong may of been £104 ,going to pick up in morning and pay so will confirm then
